Alaska Board of Fisheries / Board of Game — submit a regulation proposal
State fishing and hunting regulations are changed by the Alaska Board of Fisheries and Board of Game, and any resident can submit a proposal. Board of Game proposals are due May 1 each year (or the Friday before if May 1 is a weekend) for the following cycle; the 2026-2027 deadline was May 1, 2026, and Region 5 (Arctic/Western, including the Y-K Delta) comes up on its rotation. Board of Fisheries proposals for the Arctic-Yukon-Kuskokwim finfish cycle are due the spring before that meeting cycle; out-of-cycle Agenda Change Requests are due in late August each year. Use the online forms or mail the proposal form to Boards Support, PO Box 115526, Juneau, AK 99811-5526; questions to Boards Support at 907-465-4110. Locally, the Bethel Fish & Game Advisory Committee reviews proposals — check ADF&G's advisory committee page for meeting notices.
