Kuskokwim River subsistence fishing openers & closures (in-season info)
Whether you can fish, with what gear, and where changes week to week in summer. The fastest ways to check: read kuskosalmon.org/2026-fishing-info, call the Yukon Delta Refuge 24-hour fish recording at 907-543-3151, or call the ADF&G Bethel office at 907-543-2433 (toll free 1-855-933-2433). Federally qualified subsistence users (year-round residents of Kuskokwim communities) may keep all species with dip nets, hook and line, beach seines and fish wheels when gillnets are closed; non-gillnet gear is open 24/7 in federal waters.
Who it’s for
Federally qualified subsistence users = year-round Alaska residents of Kuskokwim communities; others may fish but cannot keep Chinook/chum/coho when restricted
