Kwethluk dog control ordinance (loose dogs, $30 bounty)
Under OVK Dog Control Ordinance 08-01 (approved July 1, 2022), all dogs in Kwethluk must be chained with galvanized or stainless chain, wear a tag with the dog's and owner's name and immunization, and house dogs must be registered and vaccinated. The Organized Village of Kwethluk pays $30.00 per loose dog brought to the Kwethluk Police Department for disposal (owners surrendering their own dog are billed instead). Report dog cruelty or biting to the public safety department; violations go to the Kwethluk Tribal Court and penalties start at $300.
