ONC General Assistance (GA) — Bethel tribal members
BIA General Assistance through ONC pays for food, rent/mortgage, clothing and basic utilities (not phone) for Alaska Native/American Indian residents of Bethel who have no other resources and do not get TANF, APA or SSI. It is NOT emergency money — it does not cover eviction or shut-off notices, medical or funeral travel — and takes 1–3 weeks; you must apply monthly and complete a self-sufficiency plan. Bring state ID, tribal ID/CDIB for everyone, birth certificates for kids, current utility bills, rent receipt and 30 days of income. ONC 477 Department 907-543-2608.
