AVCP Natural Resources Department
The Natural Resources division of the Association of Village Council Presidents (the regional Native nonprofit, established 1964, headquartered in Bethel) shares fishing/hunting regulations, federal subsistence news, climate adaptation and emergency management updates for the 56 YK Delta villages. They published a free D-1 Lands Toolkit explaining federal land withdrawals that protect subsistence areas. Call the Natural Resources department at 907-543-7390 (AVCP main 907-543-7300). AVCP offices keep regular weekday business hours; the AVCP annual convention is held in Bethel each August at the Cultural Center and streamed on facebook.com/avcpalaska.
