RurAL CAP free home weatherization (western Alaska)
RurAL CAP weatherizes homes in western and northern Alaska at no charge to the participant — the work that makes a house cheaper to heat all winter. Income-qualified homeowners and renters apply on the Rural Alaska Application; renters also need the landlord-tenant agreement signed. Call RurAL CAP at 907-279-2511 (731 E 8th Avenue, Anchorage) to ask about the current queue for the Y-K Delta. In Bethel itself, ONC's LIHEAP also includes weatherization (907-543-2608), and if you live in an AVCP RHA home call the housing authority instead (907-543-3121).
