If someone is overdue on the river, trail or tundra, report it right away to 911 or the Alaska State Troopers Bethel post 907-543-2294 — Troopers coordinate SAR and call out Bethel Search and Rescue and village SAR groups. Village VPSOs are also trained for search and rescue (AVCP VPSO office 907-543-7420). Give last known location, direction of travel, vehicle description and gear.
