Bethel Search and Rescue (BSAR) — volunteering
Bethel Search and Rescue is the all-volunteer group that responds when someone is missing or overdue on the river, tundra or trails around Bethel. To report a missing person call 911 or BSAR at 907-545-4357 (545-HELP). BSAR needs volunteers both for regular help (equipment, training, fundraising) and to turn out during searches; email info@bethelsar.org to sign up. BSAR also posts river-ice and trail conditions during freeze-up and break-up.
