Free home weatherization (AHFC program via local providers)
Income-qualified homeowners and renters can get free weatherization — insulation, air sealing, storm windows, heating-system and water-heater repair. In Bethel, ONC's LIHEAP includes weatherization for Bethel residents at or below 150% of poverty; you do not have to be a tribal member (a valid State ID is accepted). Call ONC at 907-543-2608. If you live in an AVCP RHA home, contact the housing authority instead at 907-543-3121. RurAL CAP weatherizes homes across western Alaska at no charge to the participant — 907-279-2511.
