Free naloxone (opioid overdose reversal) - YKHC pharmacy & village clinics

Naloxone reverses an opioid overdose. In Bethel you can get it at the hospital pharmacy; in villages ask your health aide; many tribal offices also stock it. Tribal offices that want to hand out naloxone can order through the YKHC pharmacy at 907-543-6988 or 877-543-6988. Anyone who uses opioids or is around someone who does should carry it - you cannot use it on yourself, so tell others where it is. Signs of overdose: pinpoint pupils, unresponsiveness, slow or no breathing, gurgling, limp body, blue lips or nails.
