ADF&G Ketchikan office — subsistence and personal-use permits
Alaska Dept. of Fish & Game office at 2030 Sealevel Dr, Suite 205. Note that waters right around Ketchikan are classified a nonsubsistence use area, so most local harvest of salmon, shellfish and other species is done under personal-use permits (free) or sport regulations; subsistence rules apply farther out and on federal lands. Get personal-use/subsistence permits online at the ADF&G store or at the office, and report harvests online. Sport Fish 907-225-2859; Wildlife/hunting 907-225-2475; Commercial Fisheries 907-225-5195.
