Gateway Aquatic Center (borough pool)
The public pool inside the Gateway Recreation Center at 601 Schoenbar Road: an 80-degree competition pool for lap swim, a warm recreational pool with play features, a drop slide and twisty slide (riders must be 48 inches tall), sauna and vortex. Rec swim, senior/therapy swim and Tiny Waves are $5 each; a daily all-access pass ($10 adult, $5 youth/senior) or a rec center membership also covers the pool. Swim lessons and aquatic classes are registered online at ketchikan.recdesk.com or at the front desk. Pool closes one hour before the building on weekdays and at 4:30pm on weekends.
