Two notification systems run by Metlakatla Indian Community/Metlakatla Police via Everbridge. Metlakatla Alerts = urgent, life-threatening notices (tsunami, evacuation order, shelter in place): create a profile at member.everbridge.net/99473053188145/login. Metlakatla Updates = lower-level notices (water shut-offs, road closures, power outages): text METLAKATLA to 333111 and you'll get a confirmation text. The outdoor siren (8th Ave and ferry terminal) is tested monthly and is not the only warning method - sign up for both. For Metlakatla Police Department, call 907-886-4011.
