🗳️ NOVEMBER MEANS IT’S TIME TO VOTE! 🗳️ Today, I had the wonderful opportunity to visit T&H Head Start as the City Clerk for the City of Saxman to teach our youngest community members about the importance of voting, elections, and having a voice in their community! Our little future leaders got hands-on experience learning how municipal government works! We appointed our very own City Clerk, Mayor, and Vice Mayor so the children could practice governing their own little community. 🏛️ But we didn’t stop there… WE TOOK IT TO THE POLLS! 🗳️ The children participated in their very own election to decide what kind of imaginary playground they wanted for their community: 🪵 A wooden playground ♻️ A recycled plastic playground Before casting their votes, we discussed two important environmental issues: keeping plastic out of our oceans and protecting our forests from clear-cutting. 🌊🌲 And the results are in… 19 TO 1! 🎉 Our Head Start voters chose a recycled plastic playground, with the goal of keeping plastic out of our oceans while helping protect the trees in our forests! What a powerful lesson in democracy! These little leaders learned that voting is about more than choosing between two options. It’s about listening, learning, considering the impact of our decisions, and making choices that shape our community and environment. Even at a young age, our children can begin learning that their voices matter, their opinions count, and they have a role in shaping the future of Saxman. ❤️🖤 A CALL TO ALL SAXMAN FAMILIES! 🖤❤️ Our children are learning about the importance of voting, and now it’s our turn to lead by example! Talk to your children about elections, explain why your vote matters, and make a plan to participate in upcoming elections. Bring your family into the conversation! Show our children that being involved in our community starts with using our voices and exercising our right to vote. Let’s raise a generation that understands the power of civic engagement and community leadership! 📣 NOVEMBER MEANS IT’S TIME TO VOTE! A big Gunalchéesh to T&H Head Start for welcoming me and helping create an opportunity for our children to learn about local government, civic engagement, and environmental responsibility. The future of Saxman is bright, and our next generation is already learning how to lead! ❤️ #CityOfSaxman #THHeadStart #NovemberMeansItsTimeToVote #FutureLeaders #EveryVoteMatters #CivicEngagement #EnvironmentalStewardship #YouthEducation #GetOutTheVote
